About the trainer

I have been an IT Trainer since 1997. My first role was at a commercial training company, followed by two positions as an in-house trainer. These positions involved course design, delivery and administration in standard desktop applications, including MS Office, Access, Project, HTML and Groupwise.

Since I started contracting in 2002, my work has mainly consisted of short-term contracts. Most of these projects concerned the implementation of new and bespoke systems. In addition to course delivery, I have provided desktop support ('floorwalking') and in some cases, I have designed course content and materials.

Some of these projects have included Case Management Systems for the Crown Prosecution Service, Police, and a City Law Firm.

I am frequently complimented for having a clear, concise and thorough approach, as well as for my patience. I like to create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere so that trainees feel able to experiment and ask questions. Wherever possible, I choose not to adopt a presentational or lecture-like approach.

For further details of previous clients and qualifications (including TAP accreditation from the Institute of IT Training), please refer to my CV.
